4th Grade Distance Learners SBAC Testing begins Wednesday-Friday 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm in Computer Lab 54.
Summer Acceleration School: Families, every school in CCSD is mandated to offer summer school from June 1st –
30th. A parent survey will be coming home through Parentlink in which you can sign up your student to attend.
Summer school will be Monday-Friday, normal school hours 8:50 am – 3:21 pm with breakfast and lunch being
served. All grades PK-5 and self-contained are welcome to attend. Students will be working on a variety of skills
which provide remediation and acceleration in all core subjects. Summer Acceleration is OPTIONAL for all
students. If your child currently takes a bus, transportation will be provided as it currently is through the month of
June. *Students are not guaranteed to have their current teachers for the summer program.
Milers: Awesome job to the following students for putting in their miles last week: Laya Vinay has completed 185.5
miles! Parents send me the names of your students and their miles completed so I can celebrate them in our newsletter!
Shout Out to Cox Cubs: Congratulations to Eddie and May Vardi for completing their grade levels for the Khan Math
Program! This is very challenging for students! Wow! Way to go Cox Math Cubs!
State Testing for Distance Learners: Families of fourth grade distance learners, we are ready for students to come
in and take their SBAC tests in the computer lab. This week will be 4th grade, Wednesday-Friday, from 1:00 pm-
4:00 pm. Only your student(s) will have access to the labs, will be assigned a specific computer, and testing times
were moved to have the least exposure to other students in the building and after dismissal. Students must wear a
mask and should bring a “snack lunch bag” to have during testing breaks. If you do not want to bring your student
into the building for their state test, please email either myself (Mrs. Imboden) or Mrs. Heinlen the Assistant
Principal or call our front office.
Cox Cub of the Week: Congratulations to the students in Mrs. Stackel’s Class, they did our weekly announcements
and were fantastic! Congratulations to the following students for being an awesome Cox Cub of the week for last

DMC Update: Families, due to students going back into distance learning we were able place some of the students from the
