Detailed Information:
1. The background of this change.

By ECR 313I033, the following 3 types of barcode readers were released.

On these handy barcode readers, the following problems were identified.

Problem Cannot read barcode correctly.
As a code "ETX" that indicates the end of data is missing when outputting the data
Root Cause 1. from barcode reader, the end of barcode data cannot be recognized correctly.
Connection Type USB, WEDGE
In the current setting menu sheet, there was no menu to set the presence or
absence of check digit. Therefore, check digit is sent as numerical data following
barcode data.
Root Cause 2. * Exception:
Only when using Code 128 as check digit, the check digit is calculated in barcode
reader. Therefore, the check digit is not sent as numerical data.
Connection Type USB, WEDGE, DIN8
If the sample number is 16 or more digits and check digit is any of NW7, mod11 or
Root Cause 3. wmod11, the check digit calculation does not work correctly. (This occurs on XN.)

 As a countermeasure for Root Cause 1 and 2, new setting menu sheets have been released by
this ECR 313L032 so that "EXT" code is inserted after each barcode data and the appropriate
check digit is set.

2. Countermeasures
2-1. The following setting menu sheets for HANDY BARCODE READER 2M-C-37-WEDGE are now
registered and appropriate menu sheets for each connection type have been included in
BARCODE ASSY NO.29.
