1 Purpose of the Method Statement
The purpose of this methodology is to provide systematic control and direction for the activity for
Installation of the HVAC system.

This method statement provides the expectation to execute work in a safe, eco-friendly manner and
compliance with the ADCO HSE and Quality Requirements.

2 Scope of Works
2.1 Scope
Installation for HVAC system
2.2 Description of Activity (ies) to be undertaken
A) All the duct supports to be installed in advance .
B) Installation and assembly of the HVAC sectors (Galvanized Sheet Metal ).
C) Fix the gaskets for all flanges .
D) Connect the sectors each to other by using bolts and nuts.
E) Insulation Material to be applied on the ducts after kill all the gaps for the joints – Mineral Glass Wool
(Vapor Barrier).
F) The Galvanized Cladding Sheet Metals to be installed by using the rivets .

3 Personnel and Responsibilities


3.1 Construction Manager:
The Construction Manager is responsible for ensuring that the requirements of this method
statement are properly implemented. The Construction Manager is also responsible for the safe
performance of the work.

3.2 Supervisor:
The Supervisor shall be responsible for controlling the manpower following the site supervisor`s
instructions, to ensure that the qualified workers with the right tools are assigned to each work post.

He shall be responsible for the implementation of the work following Al Bilal Health, Safety, and
Environmental plans and procedures, method statements, and requirements stipulated by Job
Hazard Analysis. He shall participate in the specific toolbox talks and ensure participation of the work
team as well. He shall also be responsible for the use of correct personnel protective equipment at
all times.

3.3 HSE Adviser:


The HSE Advisor shall be responsible for advising the manpower on HSE aspects to ensure their
safety. HSE adviser will support toolbox talks, ensure adequate barricades and signage are in
place. Ensure all equipment has been inspected and color-coded according to procedures. Also
ensure that appropriate safety measures are taken as per the JHA, rescue plan as well. Ensure that
all staff adheres to the HSE Plan and HSE requirements.
3.4 Work Team:
The work team shall be responsible to work following the procedures, Al Bilal training, and safe
Methods of work communicated to them by their direct supervision, ensuring that the best industrial
practices are adopted and maintained at all times. They shall be responsible to use correct tools and
personal protective equipment and participate in the daily toolbox talks.

4 Resources
4.1 Personnel
Around 6 guys shall be deputed to carry out this work.

4.2 Plant and Equipment


Hand tools, Generator, tong, and drill.

5 Execution of Works

5.1 PTW Issuance


A cold Work permit will be issued to carry out the works, along with the permit will be the
approved method statement, JHA, and isolation certificates.

• Arrange the required safety signs, barricades, and other related safety precautions

Highlighted in the JHA, isolation certificate, and permit before the commencement.

• The works shall only commence after the job supervisor has checked and ensured that all safety
precautions and safety requirements are in place.

• Ensure workers understand the hazards and control measures related to the critical activities,

• Qualified First Aider must be on-site and identified by a sticker on his helmet.

• Display Emergency Contact number on site.5.3 Site Works

5.3.1 before commencing


Before commencing work, check the following:
(a) All openings and elevated free edges are properly guarded

(b) Any temporary bracing, shoring, or propping is tight, stable, and secure.
(c) All fire and safety services are operational and all other services to the working level
have been properly disconnected.

5.3.2Before leaving

a) Housekeeping.
b) Lines of communication to the supervisor are clear and operational.
c) Close PTW
