Seio Wave pump. Failure to follow these
guidelines may result in damage to the
aquatic environment and serious injury.
Operation and safety Precautions:
The National Code requires that a GFCI
(Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) be utilized
in the branch circuit supplying all water
pump and aquarium electrical equipment.
If you do not have a GFCI, please see your
local electrical supplier for this device.
Important Warning and Safeguards
• Do not operate pump with Seio Wave pump
without being fully submersed at all times.
Not doing so can cause permanent damage
to the pump.
• Replace the impeller and or shaft if there is
any excess signs of wear.
• Prior to maintenance on any electrical
aquarium appliance or maintenance to
the aquarium, you must disconnect all

electrical aquarium devices.
Failure to follow guidelines and cautions
will cause water to exit the aquarium,
tank failure, water damage to the stand,
water damage to the floor, electrical
arching, personal injury not limited to
loss of life and or property damage.

Next generation in water movement, Seio wave
pump is pre-programmed with 9 different flow
patterns that can be controlled with the remote
control.
The pump can also be used on larger
aquariums as just a Random Flow Pump.
FUNCTION SETTING
1. Standard: Water flow can be varied from 6000-
13000 LPH/1580-3400GPH by using the flow
control buttons.
2. Random: Water flow will start at 6000LPH/
1580GPH and gradually increase to the
maximum flow of 13000LPH/3400GPH. 1 2
• Routine maintenance is required to ensure the
maximum performance and the longevity of Seio
Wave pump. See Maintenance Guidelines.
• The national code requires all aquarium
equipment to be plugged into a GFCI (Ground
Fault circuit Interpreter) electrical outlet .
• Do not operate if wire is damaged.
• Do not plug into an extension cord or power strip.
• Failure to keep the Main strainer clean will
not allow water into the pump thus causing
permanent damage to the impeller, shaft and or
the pump.
• Do not plug into a power strip, Always plug the
pump directly to a GFCI outlet using a drip loop.
• Seio Wave pump is designed to run completely
submerged in water. Do not operate pump
outside of water! This pump should be
submerged in water before connecting to a
power source.
• Seio Wave pump may be utilized in either fresh
water or salt water but not in foreign fluids,
flammable liquids or any chemical.
Approximate cycle time in 21 sec.: 5-5-5-3-3 and
will continue to repeat cycle.
3. Fast Random: Water flow will start at
6000LPH/ 1580GPH and gradually increase
to the maximum flow of 13000LPH/3400GPH.
Approximate cycle time in 5 seconds: Flow
increases every second and will continue to
repeat cycle.
4. Ground Swell: The pump will create an
underwater varied current. Use the flow control
buttons to adjust the wave shape.
5. Swell: The pump will create a surging swell at
the water’s surface. Use the flow control buttons
to adjust the wave shape.
6. Surge: The pump will create an alternating surge
from one side of the aquarium to the opposite
side of the aquarium. Use the flow control

Note: It is important that the right pump and flow
rate is being used for the given specific application.
Use the flow chart to determine the proper size
pump and tubing to be used for given application.
CAUTION:
1. A well built aquarium using thicker than normal
glass is required. Minimum thickness of 5/8in
must be used for aquarium size: 48 x 18 x 24
(in). The use of thinner glass or a poorly made
aquarium will result in leaks or panel separation.
2. The use of knock down stands is not
recommended. Use a well built wood base.
3. For best performance, pump should be
positioned in the center of the side of the
aquarium and approximately 1/3 to 1/2 below
the water level.
4. To avoid risk of leakage, the minimum water
level must be 3.9 in (10cm) from the

change irregularly. Allow 60 seconds for the

11. Improper water level may cause the pump
to make noise. Use the flow control button
to balance out the wave action.

MAINTENANCE
Preventing debris and free floating material
from entering your Seio Wave pump is of
utmost importance to the longevity of your
pump. Your pump requires regular cleaning
to maintain a steady water flow. Note: Gravel,
sand and calcium deposits will also diminish/
damage the longevity of Seio Wave pump and
impeller.

You must disconnect all electrical power to the
aquarium and water pump before beginning
the maintenance on any electrical equipment
including Seio Wave pump.
Do not use any type of soap or detergent to
clean the Seio Wave pump and parts. Remove
main strainer. Clean and rinse of all dirt and
debris. Remove the impeller and shaft and
clean well. Verify that the shaft spins freely on
the shaft. In environments that have a high
amount of calcium it may be necessary to
clean impeller in 1 part vinegar 3 parts water
solution, this will breakdown calcium build
up. Let soak for a minimum of 15 minutes. 12
