INTRODUCTION
This module is designed to equip you the TVL Grade 11 Senior High School Learners
with essential Knowledge, Skills, and Attitude in performing the tasks in
HOUSEKEEPING which will lead you to acquire National Certificate Level II.
Overview
This module contains several lessons which provide varied and relevant activities to
determine your understanding of the key concepts of the Housekeeping. This is
crafted to focus on the different activities that will help you enhance your skills and
knowledge necessary to get a Certificate of Competency and/or National Certificate
Level II.

The supervisor/room attendant should not insist on entering the room if the guest show
resentment or directly expresses that he / she does not want to be disturbed at all
Discreetly try to find out if there are unregistered joiners who slept with the registered
occupant. This has to be reported to the front office and a bill for “extra person” shall
be charged to the guest during the check out.
If no one answer in the room, the guest must have slept out and this should also be
reported in the room status report.
During the room check, the supervisor also check the status of each room and indicates
it in his room status report (see code on room status ).
Place the cart in front of the Activate doorbell or knock gently (giving 30 sec. interval

standard procedure for vacuuming. Shampoo if it is heavily
soiled
Dust furniture and fixtures, Dust based boards ,window sills, racks, cabinets study table,
polish the mirror lampshades, polish mirror and window glass using a cloth
and a glass cleaner. Used metal polish for metal fixtures

Check overall condition Check if there is anything left unattended, also the condition of
amenities like TV. bulb, and also if there is a safety hazards.
NOTE: For check out room,clean the bathroom first.For occupied room,make up the bed
and clean the bed sheet first,
This procedure is done late in the afternoon by the night service room boys.
