period.
3. Identify the different compositions during the classical period.

Content Standard:

The classical period of music contributes meaningfully to the history of


music until the present times. The music of the classical period is still widely used
in movies and cartoon series. This self-learning module will help you achieve
the objective of the learning competency which is to be able to improvise
appropriate accompaniment to selected music from the classic period.

Activity 1

Direction: Improvise appropriate accompaniment to selected music from the classic


period by following the directions below.

1. You will create a short poem with a theme on the Music of Classical Era.
2. You will recite or rap the poem using the melody of Beethoven’s
Symphony No. 9, “Ode to Joy” as your accompaniment.
