NATIONAL ARTIST OF THE PHILIPPINES
MOTIVATION
1. Symbols related to the Philippine identity and representations of different cultures and traditions.
2. The National Artist Insignia. The main medallion commemorates the sun and the colors of the
Philippine Flag. The highly stylized three letter Ks stand for "katotohan, kabutihan, at kagandahan"
(the true, the good, and the beautiful).

Yes. There should be enough recognition or acknowledgement for Individual's who have talent in art,
for them to be able to use their given talents to also inspire other aspiring artists, like them, to continue
to pursue their dreams. If many aspiring filipino artists will receive the recognition they deserve, they
can use their platform to widen identification of the Philippine art. If they will unite as one, they can
strengthen and bring difference to what other thinks that misleads to the true essence of our county's
art.

I think it's their forte that leads them to the category where they belong. They don't belong in the
Music category just because they don't see other art forms as important as music, but, they belong to
the Music category because it is where they can excel more, it is where their given talents prevail.
Same as to other artists that belongs to other categories.
GENERALIZATION
1. The Filipino artist's is set to be the role model for every Filipino who aspires to be in the same
platform as them. They are sought to be the voice who influence their fellow Filipinos to know the real
value of art. They are the ones who will preserve the history and the meaning behind the different
contemporary arts.
2.
3. Artists should be a natural-born Filipino, and he/she should exhibit the Filipino nationhood,
promote different styles and expression in his/her artworks, consistently consisted on doing such
honorable works and he/she should respect other artists.
4. They are someone who we should look up to. People who exerts effort to promote change and
development all throughout the process of a growing country. They are providing the best that they
can for the improvement of some aspects that makes our country to be different from others.
5. Filipino citizens, us, are most likely the source of money to the government, to help the economy of
our country and other financial needs by paying taxes. We students should value the honor and
prestige of the awards given to an artists because the hardworks of our fellow filipinos are behind it.
