4.1 Introduction
In the preterite tense, there are some “special verbs”. When they are
conjugated in preterite, they have an unusual “stem” and an unusual set of endings as
well.
4.2 Explanation
For example, the special verb would be “Tener” in this table, compared to a
regular –ar ending verb and a –er verb

Please notice that the preterite endings for the verb “tener” are the same as
the estudiar endings but without the accent for Yo and Usted forms. In fact, are the
same as the –ar Regular verbs, we kept the estudiar to follow the example. The other
four endings that remain, are the same as the correr endings, which means, the same
as the regular verbs that end in –er/-ir (e.g., -iste, -isteis, -imos, -isteis, -ieron). We
can conclude with this that, the special verbs are a combination of the regular –
ar endings with the –er/ir endings.
(Tuviste, Tuvisteis, Tuvimos, Tuvisteis, Tuvieron)

Nonetheless, there are some notes to be made to some verbs.
 In preterite, when using the verb HACER, the usted (you) form of the verb is
Hizo (is necessary to use the z to maintain the same sound).
 Instead of the ending –ieron, we use the ending –eron for the verbs decir, traer
and conducir in the third-person plural ending.

5.5 Desde cuándo / How long

To mention how long something has happened, the expression "Desde
cuándo" is used. For this, the preposition Desde is included, which is frequently used
in Spanish and its meaning in English would be “since” or “from”. "Desde cuándo" is
used as follows:

If you want to be more specific when asking when something has been
happening, you can also add the preposition "Desde." For example:

(How long have you not visited your grandparents?)
Similarly, to answer you just have to add "Desde". This preposition is used

7.1 Introduction

Futuro simple
The simple future tense in Spanish is expressed in a single word. It can be

used to express an intention regarding the future, to talk about what will or shall
happen, for a supposition or prediction about the future, or also for a supposition
about what someone may or might be doing in the present.
7.2 Explanation
In order to form a sentence in simple future tense with regular verbs, just
add the correct termination (ending) to the infinitive of the verb. We must emphasize
that the -ar -er -ir verb conjugations have the same ending in this tense.
