It is my great pleasure to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Ariana

McFadden. Ariana is a student at Buhach Colony High School and I have
served as her Guidance Counselor for the past two years. Based on Ariana’s
grades, attendance, and school activities, I can attest that Ariana is a dedicated,
inquisitive, and engaged young woman with a very positive attitude. These are
qualities that I find unique and most admirable.

In light of a demanding workload, academically, Ariana has been an exemplary

student. She currently has earned a 3.12 GPA overall. This is a testament to her
dedication and commitment as a student. In addition, Ariana is a first-generation
college student, and that in itself can be a challenge to overcome. However, as
eager, inquisitive, and determined as Ariana is, I have no doubts that she will
find her niche and strive in all that she pursues in life.

Interpersonally, Ariana is a natural leader who is very cheerful and inclusive.

She has a smile for everyone and strives to be a positive influence in every
situation. Ariana has a number of strengths to offer and is always interested in
supporting and helping others; for example, she has volunteered numerous
hours at Turning Point Mental Health Care, as an AVID Tutor at Buhach Colony
High School the school where she attends and volunteered over a hundred
hours within her community. She is a prime example of someone who cares
about her community and her school. In addition to her community service,
Ariana has been very involved in her school. She is involved in many clubs
such as Pacific Club, 99 Rootz, AVID Club, P7, Drama Club, and the California
Scholarship Federation (CSF-an academic honors club).

In terms of her career interest, I know Ariana is very committed to pursuing a

Marine Biology and Oceanography and owning her own non-profit marine life
sanctuary in the near future. I am confident that Ariana will pursue her dreams
and will assist in improving our Oceans and Marine Life.
I have been nothing but impressed by the academic commitment and social
maturity Ariana has shown these past two years. She will undoubtedly be very
involved on campus and will be a positive asset to her peers, professors, and
the university that accepts her. I am convinced that Ariana is well deserving of
any financial assistance she can attain, thus without any reservation, I give
