Part 1: The verb 'ESTAR' = to be

● Yo estoy = I am ● Nosotros/Nosotras estamos =

We are
● Tú estás = You are (informal)
● Ellos/Ellas/ están = They are
● Él/Ella está = He/She is
● Ustedes están = You are (plural)
● Usted está = You are (formal)

We use ‘ser’ to refer to a temporal condition.

Part 2: Expressions to use with ‘ESTAR’ with a temporal meaning.

- hoy = today

- ahora = now

- en este momento = at this moment

● Hoy estamos en nuestra casa.

● Ahora estoy en mi oficina.

● En este momento estás en el parque.

- en la mañana = in the morning

- en la tarde = in the afternoon

- en la noche = in the evening / at night

● Yo estoy en el gimnasio en la mañana.

● Tú estás en la oficina en la tarde.

● Ellos están en la casa en la noche.
