TROUBLESHOOTING STEP

STEP 1: Check the fault codes.


STEP 1A: Check for an active fault code.
Condition:
• Turn keyswitch ON.
• Connect INSITE™ electronic service tool.

STEP 2: Check the aftertreatment DEF dosing unit and circuit.


STEP 2A: Inspect the aftertreatment DEF dosing unit and electrical connections.
Condition:
• Turn keyswitch OFF.
• Disconnect the aftertreatment DEF dosing unit from the OEM harness.

Condition:
• Turn keyswitch OFF.
• Disconnect the aftertreatment DEF dosing unit from the OEM harness.
• Disconnect the OEM harness from the ECM.

STEP 2C: Check for an open circuit on the aftertreatment DEF dosing unit supply.
Condition:
• Turn keyswitch OFF.
• Disconnect the aftertreatment DEF dosing unit from the OEM harness.
• Disconnect the OEM harness from the ECM.

Check for an open circuit. Less than 10 ohms? 2D


• Measure the resistance between the YES

STEP 3: Check ECM calibration and clear fault codes.


STEP 3A: Check if an ECM calibration update is available.
Condition:
• Connect all components.
• Connect INSITE™ electronic service tool.
