1. MECHANICAL AIR DUCT CLEANING

2. AIR DUCTS DISINFECTION OF AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS
3. HEALTH SERVICE – AIR HANDLING UNIT (A.H.U.) CLEANING & ANTIMICROBIAL
PROTECTION

1. MECHANICAL AIR DUCT CLEANING\

The internal mechanical cleaning of the supply air ducts, circulation and ventilation is the first stage of
hygiene H.V.A.C.

Brief description of air duct mechanical cleaning:

 Opening of access doors to galvanized rectangular or circular ducts.

 The various individual components of the cleaning system are positioned within the air ducts
via these accesses, and the existing flow or ventilation orifices. We ensure that only the indispensable
steps will take place, which will not affect the structure and durability of the installation.
 Removal of solid deposits (dust, fluff, etc.) located within the air duct. This is achieved by
using special accessories (Airbrush systems). These components are designed exclusively for interior
vent cleaning, offering possibilities for adjusting the angle of impact and the air pressure to optimize
cleaning.
 Alongside the interior cleaning we apply strong suction in order to remove all particles from
inside the duct and collecting them with into special vacuum with prefilters, bag filters.

AIR-QUALITY has the most modern equipment for internal cleaning ducts. The required equipment
comes from the USA & FILAND (NIKRO & LIFA AIR). In addition to the excellent quality of
equipment, we have experienced technical and scientific personnel, who face every appliance
responsibly, with consistency and reliability and after excellent training. A necessary condition during
the work is the presence of a Mechanical Engineer with specialization in the Indoor Air Quality (IAQ).

Our modern equipment specifically includes:

 Special vacuum machines. These machines have powerful fans provision of 2000m3/h up to
6000m3/h.
 Especially pneumatic nozzles designed for internal cleaning airway regardless of diameter. The
nozzles have the ability to pass into the network of up to 20 consecutive air ducts.
 Check purity by ROBOT, equipped with cameras in order to electronically record the inner
network of air ducts before and after the completion of the cleaning work. The possibility of continuous
ROBOT recording is up to 20 m.

2. AIR DUCT DISINFECTION OF AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS

Air duct disinfection is achieved after the air duct mechanical cleaning procedure or
independently. Air duct disinfection is one of the most important maintenance works as far as air ducts
are concerned, as the harmful microorganisms are conveyed through the entire duct system to the
individual natural air flow. The use of suitable chemical liquids ensures the indoor air quality(IAQ).

Specifically the disinfection of all existing air duct circulation and ventilation network, include the
following tasks:

 Removal and cleaning of the side access door in each air handling unit (A.H.U.).
 Opening access doors ports where access is required in the air ducts.
 Nebulization disinfecting solution using specific portable devices. The fogger controls the supply of
the disinfectant liquid and can adjust the size of the produced droplets.
 Disinfectants air duct fluids can destroy a wide range of microorganisms, including fungi, bacteria,
and germs of tuberculosis and legionnaire's disease.

The disinfection of central air conditioning units is one of the most important procedures to
protect people from the effects of airborne microorganisms (microbes) and maintaining indoor air
quality (I.A.Q).
The respiratory infections that afflict the staff and customers that remain in buildings with central
air conditioning systems (A.H.U.) are usually caused by the poor air quality, which is the result of lack
of maintenance of air conditioning systems.
Scientific studies record the frequent transfer of viruses through the air conditioning systems.
Disinfection can be achieved by the usage of suitable chemicals with certified action and effect.
The application of these products is done by spraying or misting within the air ducts.

3. HEALTH SERVICE – AIR HANDLING UNIT (A.H.U.) CLEANING

& ANTIMICROBIAL PROTECTION
The maintenance including the cleaning and hygiene of A.H.U. consists of the following steps:

• Removal and cleaning of A.H.U. side access doors.

• Removal of the pre-filter and cleaning with compressed air, water and disinfection.
• Mechanical cleaning of the coil surface with compressed air. Removal of pollutants. Spraying the
surface with specially formulated chemical cleaning solution with a characteristic aroma for the
detachment of the pollutant remains. Water spraying. Spraying coil with disinfectant.
• Mechanical cleaning of the shell, the fan and the fan motor. Removal of pollutants.
• Mechanical cleaning of the condensate in the collection tank. Removal of pollutants. Filling the tank
with water and check of the condensate’s removal through the drains. Correct any blockages. Tank leak
test and check of the external insulation’s state. Disinfection of the tank with disinfectant.
• Mechanical cleaning of the inner surface of the frame of the AHU, of dampers, of the mist eliminator
and generally internal parts.
• Closing the A.H.U side access doors
