What’s In (Activity 1: Let’s Do This)

DANCING

 In Physical Benefits Dancing helps me develop muscles, tone my body, improve circulation, improve posture,
balance, coordination and promote greater flexibility. Flexibility is often overlooked as a benefit but can really
decrease the chances of injury especially in an active child. Dance helps keep my body conditioned and the mind
focused which heightens one’s ability to perform other physical activities.
 The Mental benefit of Dancing is everyone who are involved in dance will excel in their academics and tend to be
more creative. The art of dance helps teach us to focus, creativity, and discipline, all in which are mandatory in any
area of education.
 When we talk about Social benefits, Dance improves sensitivity, understanding, appreciation, and consideration for
others, both for their similarities and differences. Dance can broaden your child’s horizons by introducing them to
other people and help them better relate later in life to those they may face and also in their future careers.

RUNNING

 The Mental benefit of Running is it can help train the mind as much as the body. I learned to focus and feel
determined to overcome obstacles and fatigue. I get a new view of large and small problems and my capabilities to
endure and overcome them. The will and strength that gets my body through long runs or out the door when I’d
rather skip a training run are what, in turn, gives me strength in other areas of my life. Running, and exercise in
general, is also an excellent way of reducing stress in the body, reducing our cortisol (the stress hormone) levels and
therefore leaving us calmer and more able to think through problems in a rational way.
 Social Benefits of running for me is making new friends When you first start running the thought of talking to
someone during your workout can seem daunting. As your fitness builds, you will be less winded and talking
throughout your run won’t be as difficult. Joining a running group is a great way to make friends who share the same
interests as you. Making memories, having a running buddy or joining a running group can lead you to try new
running paths, trails and events that can create unforgettable experiences. 
 The Physical Benefits of Running. Running is one of the best forms of exercise for losing or maintaining a consistent
weight. You will find that it is a leading way to burn off extra calories and that it is the second most effective exercise
in terms of calories burned per minute, following only after cross country skiing. Running changes your body by
burning body fat and building muscles. Expect to lose fat at the top of your thighs, build stomach muscles of steel
and a butt to die for the weight. When you run, you're really working your gluteal muscles. That means an envious
butt without having to hit the gym.

Activity 2: SELF CHECK

1. You are chosen by the Municipal Government to organize an event like "Run for a Cause", a 5 km. Find Run to be
attended by all government employees and students of the locality. How are you going to plan the activities?
Present your plan of the program.

 For this program to be successful, I will do the following steps:

 STEP 1: Research and seek help from people who have already organized these kinds of events and ask for different
advice on how they were able to pull through those kinds of events
 STEP 2: Upon gathering ang listing down all the information I need to know, set up the necessary details in order to
create the race like, the theme of the event, the venue, the rules and regulations and the like.
 STEP 3: Once done with all the setting up, the announcement of the fun run should be done through different media
platforms.
 STEP 4: Be able to answer different queried that will be asked by those people who will be joining the event
 STEP 5: Remaining days will be used to ensure that all planned details will be accomplished before Race day.  

2. As you go to your Rural Health Unit, you have learned that many of your townmates are suffering from
cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Being a student of P.E class, how can you help them in addressing their health
problems?

 I will proactively promote physical fitness activities in my town to encourage everyone that their illnesses can still
get better by proper diet and exercise. Informing every one of the many benefits of being physically active would
help them realize that health and fitness should not be taken for granted. I will help them as much as i can i will use
all i have learned just to help them because of their condition i will try to be a good one even though my ability is
hidden from my knowledge

What I Can Do (Activity 4: LET’S DO THIS)

A. Letter of request addressed to the Barangay Chairman

Dear Barangay Chairwoman Maribeth G. Arellano

Good Day,

We will be having a Summer Sports Fest and Zumba Dance in our barangay. Our sport fest will include different
type of games like Chess, Badminton, Basketball, and Volleyball for both men and women. And the Zumba Dance will be
participated by our guardians or elderlies. Us in the barangay team thought that organizing a Summer Sports Fest would
be a great idea to exposed inspiring teenagers to participate in this year’s event, and also for other barangays to join us
and participate also. The more the merrier they say. You can rest assured that we will take care of everyone’s safety and
mandatory the place where the Summer Sports Fest will be held. I hope that you will participate on our event and be
there to congratulate the winners and see the people’s smile and excitement. Thank you in advance Barangay
Chairwoman Maribeth G. Arellano.

B. Your own plans and programs of the said Sports Fest:

 The Zumba Dance clinic will start at 6AM at the Basketball Court where both parents and elderlies will participate.
Teenagers and Children’s are also allowed to dance with them to lift up their spirits and have a Good Morning.
 We will be starting off the program with a greeting from our Barangay Chairwoman and Barangay Captain.

For Chess, Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball:

 Choosing Top 5 best players in each sport and matching up them until only one is left.
 Top 5 will only be getting a 2,000 cash prize.
 Top 4 will be having a Silver Medal and 2,500 cash prizes
 Top 3 will be having a Gold Medal and 3,000 cash prizes.
 Top 2 will be having a Small Trophy with Silver Medal and 3,500 cash prizes.
 Top 1 will be having a Large Trophy with Gold Medal and 5,000 cash prizes.
 After the Games and awarding the winners of each sports, we will end the program with the Barangay Officials
thanking everyone who participated and went to the Summer Sports Fest.
