IV. PROCEDURES
A. Arrival Time Arrival routine
-Prayer, Greetings and Song
B. Meeting Time 1 -Review the kids about the things they can do in school.
-Ask which activity do you like to do?
-Ask what can we do with blocks?
-Ask what will we do after using blocks?
C. Work Period 1 -Teacher show blocks. The teacher give instruction. Learners form
groups.Each group will have sets of different blocks.They will build what the
teacher says. The group will carry out the instruction.
-Teacher will show pictures or objects that are yellow color(manga,
pi-so, bukad, adlaw, bituon) and introduce the color name of the objects
showed.
-Teacher will ask what is the color of the objects shown.
-Learners will sort objects according to color using blocks
-Ask the color name of the objects being sort.
-Learners will color the objects that are yellow in their learner’s material

(saging, manga etc.)

D. Meeting Time 2 Pass around a piece of blocks and let the children imagine/pretend that the
block is another object. Ask what they have imagine .
E. Recess Let the children wash their hands before eating.
Encourage sharing especially if not all children have food.
F. Quiet Time The teacher will play a song to feel the kids relax. Kids may take a nap if they
want.
G. Story Time Watch a video clips about blocks .etc.
Ask questions about video clips.
Ex. What was made out of the blocks?
H. Work Period 2 -Form groups with three members.
-Ask the learners to arrange /sequence the three blocks.
-by numbers, by size, by length, by weight
-Learners will arrange blocks according to category to be given by the teacher
within 30 seconds.
-The first group who can arrange will be the winner for that round.
-Learners will compare the blocks after every category.
-Ask which objects are the same in number? in color, in size?
-Learners will count the blocks/objects and shows that the numeral 1,2,3 have
the corresponding visual representation.
-Learners will trace the numerals in their learners materials,
I. Indoor Activity/ Outdoor -The teacher will introduce one game.
Activity -The teacher will give instruction on how to play.
-The learners will play the game “ex. Luksong Tinik”
-Encourage learners to be sport minded.
J. Meeting Time 3 -Teacher will ask how they used the blocks?
-Learners will share how they used the blocks in different ways.
K. Wrap-Up Questions The teacher acknowledges the learner’s sharing and encourages them to come
back so they can still do more activities and learn.
