If you experience issues with the site, move to the next step. The videos are also

embedded in the voting form just in case

4. After viewing the videos, click on the voting form (linked at the bottom of the

web page) to cast your ballots. You can also directly access the voting form

here.

Vanier’s Student Council is now recruiting its executive team for the
2021/2022 school year!

The application process is listed below. Keep in mind that the number of positions

available for each role may vary.

The application form can be found by CLICKING HERE.

Interested students will be able to apply until June 3rd, 2021 11:59 pm.

After that point, applicants will be shortlisted and successful applicants will be

sent an invitation for an interview which will occur during June 9-11.

Secretary (1 position available)

Set up and share weekly meeting agendas via the SLACK app .

Take detailed notes during all meetings.

Keep records of member attendance at meetings and events.

Keep records of volunteer hours earned .

Manage/ Organize SAC’s shared Google Drive.

Manage/ Organize channels in the SLACK app.

Treasurer (1 position available)

Monitor and track student council budget

Oversee cashbox during events; track sales as needed .

Collect, track, and organize receipts for reimbursements.

Chief of Marketing (1 position available)

Creative Lead of SAC’s marketing efforts for events and initiatives (Instagram,

posters, emails, Google Classroom, merchandise).

Manage and coordinate the team consisting of 2 Public Relations Officers

and Visuals Officer.

Visuals/Design Lead (1 position available)

Supporting Public Relations Officers and Chief of Marketing as needed .

Creating original images to be used in marketing materials.

Creating original images to be used for SAC/ GVSS clothing .

Proficient in digital drawing softwares compatible across devices (Photoshop,

Paint Tool Sai, etc.)

Strong knowledge of artistic elements, colour palettes, and graphic design

rules

Able to complete any position-related work in 2 to 6 week project timelines

(fast and slow paced projects).

Public Relations Officer (2 positions available)

Supporting initiatives designed by the Chief of Marketing as designated.

Creating posters/ posts (sometimes on very short notice). Canva experience

recommended.

Managing and responding through communication channels as designated by

the chief of marketing (Instagram, emails, Google Classroom).

Analyzing Instagram insights (followers, likes, and engagement) and working

with the marketing team to maximize outreach.
