IIPC Corporate Project Guidelines

2021-22
Industry Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC) provides the platform of corporate
projects for all MBA students in order to help bridge the gap between
academic and industry expectations. The broad objectives are to make
learning relevant to the industry requirements and provide a scope for
applying domain knowledge to company projects.

Academic Year: June 2021 to April 2022

1. Students can work on only one project at a time i.e., one can apply for
another project only after completion of an on-going project. There should be
no clash with the summer internship.

2. A Student can take up a maximum of 2 IIPC projects in one academic year.

3. Students can take up any corporate project from their personal contact/
references. However, it is mandatory to inform IIPC before the start and after
the completion of the project by filling out the forms mentioned in Point 4
and Point 5 respectively.

4. In order to add a successfully completed project to the CV, it must be verified

by IIPC. Each student must fill the “Commencement Form” before the start of
every IIPC/non- IIPC project to ensure verification: Commencement Form

5. Each student must fill the “Completion Form” after the completion of every
IIPC/non- IIPC project within 7 days of the project end date to ensure
verification: Completion Form

6. Company mentor must fill the “Feedback Form” after the completion of
every IIPC/non-IIPC project within 7 days of the project end date to ensure
verification: Feedback Form

7. Students will not be eligible for any further projects until they fill the completion
form.

8. Students with any doubts/grievances regarding their IIPC projects

can fill the “Grievance Redressal Form” to ensure prompt
assistance from IIPC: Grievance Redressal Form

10. Links of all the four forms are universal across the projects as provided above
(including projects from external sources). Still, we send these links with every
Result Declaration mail for the convenience of the students.
11. Students cannot fix appointments with company executives for corporate
projects during class hours and cannot get exemption from classes for
corporate projects.

12. Students who are selected for IIPC projects are required to communicate to
their company mentors about their exam schedule, holidays and class
timetables during the course of the project and prepare their project timelines
accordingly.

13. No Objection Certificate (NOC) can be provided to any student taking up a

corporate project, on request when a student might require NOC. Students

14. Projects taken up from online portals such as Internshala or OysterConnect

will be verified based on the affirming authority for the completion
certificate. E.g. If a student has done a project with Pizza Hut via Internshala
and the certificate has been provided by Internshala, the student will be
allowed to put “Internshala-Pizza Hut” in the CV as the project name and not
“Pizza Hut”.

15. Disciplinary Action: In case of any discrepancies/ complaint from the

company/ non- completion of the project, students are liable to the following
disciplinary actions:
 The student will be debarred from corporate projects for the rest of the year.
 Name of defaulters will be shared with the Placement Department in case
of misconduct. The corporate projects section will be removed completely
from the CVs for summer and final placements. The matter will also be
escalated to the Dean, SBM NMIMS.
 Students must provide a written explanation to the faculty in-charge of the
cell, in case of default. Depending on the severity of the default, the faculty
in-charge will take suitable corrective action.
Appropriate changes will be made to the rules depending on
requirements.
