 MY ROLE AS CITIZEN OF EARTH

A citizen is a person with full right and responsibilities in a community. Being earth
citizen means to have all information about issues of earth and taking action to better one or
more of the community. Now day’s earth is facing with endless different problems in which
include environment destruction, resources depletion, wars, conflicts, poverty and many other
that make the future uncertain. To avoid living in this kind of situations, we have first to be
aware that the solution is in us citizen of earth and this asks to be a good citizen.

As good citizen, with values, principle, ethic, etc. the main role on earth is to involve in
taking personal responsibility for one’s decisions and actions including respecting others obeying
rules and laws and to give a good example to others. We live under law and patterns that are
dictated to us by society, participating in my community like when election happen and other
different activities, it is very important to be there and give my point of view.

Earth needs my help or my task to change it in a positive way by helping my neighbor to

have a good life. By respecting people around us and remember that as I have right, they have
more, is another important thing in my society. With all freedom that we have which has limit on
a certain point, I have to fight for those who are violating that limit like killers, thief and many
others. This help must be given to everyone by not looking region, race and many others which
differentiate us.

Every problem on earth is global, starting on person him/herself where poverty, conflict
and others like environmental destruction are started. Those problems around us affect us in
many different ways, when your neighbor is hungry, you will not eat yours in peace. You cannot
have a good life in a destructed environment where there is no tree, with no good water. So, to
solve this also, is to start by a single person where everyone contributes by giving what have as a
solution. It can be by educating, giving a good idea and many other participation in this situation.
 It is an obligation as I can say to protect each other. In order to improve or change our
earth better than it is, by having a human conscience, it is very important to help in creating
consciousness for what is right, and what is wrong. Limit on our freedom is restricted mainly by
people who do not know if they are doing wrong thing or not. It is our task to help in creating
this kind of direction and participate in respecting it.

Through this way of fighting with world problems, there are needs of intellectual
movement. Our participation in putting institutions that properly balance the needs and interests
of now day’s population and those of future generations is another important idea. The challenge
that our earth is facing with are universal and it will affect mainly the future generation. As a
good citizen to make other understand how to use his/her limited resource in his unlimited want,
it can be truly good way forward for humanity.

Real life involves challenges that affect us and are too big for any one. No one can do any
good thing in war period, and no one can get peace him/herself. With poverty, discrimination and
many other challenges, Is my task to participate in solving or searching solution. Global climate
change is influenced by human industrial activity. With all responsibility and right as a good
citizen of earth, I have to defend the right of citizens in general.

In summary, my role as a citizen of earth is to use my knowledge, skills and commitment

to provide opportunity and participate in making earth citizen clearly accountable and this will
make closely world people. To live peacefully in an interconnected world, every citizen must
have responsibility to care about others and treat them with dignity to promote culture of peace
and this will lead us to sustainable development.
