1 Looking Ahead.

In the years to come, there will be new directions the world follows in. We are
going to seek out honest, ethical products and companies that improve the
quality of our lives and enrich the health of our planet. We are still recovering
from the pandemic and are uncertain of our future. Our shopping habits, our
consumption, will become frugal. We will be careful with our time, our energy,
our head space. We’ll second guess spending extra and instead save for the
unexpected and we’ll choose our products in the same way too. We emphasize
recyclability, and reusableness. The pandemic was a catalyst in shifting our
priorities. Our health, mental and physical, need to be protected and we’ll
resonate more with brands and lifestyles that agree with that.

5. I agree that Instagram has had a huge role in creating fashion trends and
maintain them , I think their power is going to live on til Instagram fades from
popularity, but it will take a long time for that happen. It won’t shift til something
bigger captivates enough people to swap platforms entirely.. However, multiple
platforms that share the same influence can coexist. Tiktok, Twitch, Twitter, even
LinkedIn, have all been used to spread fashion trends, and I’m sure there will be
more innovative platforms coming to shake things up.

aspects of cultural indicators. It helps make environmental scanning much more
attainable and accessible. Forecasters look through magazines, interviews, social
media, movies and books. From there they link those signals and see a vision and

disseminate and mass produce trends because they know it’s going to drive high sales
and while they help keep a trend alive, the brands follow what the consumer wants
and what society deems the next big “it” trend.
