Lesson: Community Immersion

Topic: Advance Training for Community Immersion, Implementation and Society

Objectives:
This module will come up in the general objectives that will hook the attention of students or
learners for better understanding of each discussion. In this part, the objectives will guide the learners
to accomplish the goals of the lesson. At the end of this module the students were able to;

 Define Community Immersion;


 Identify the advance trainings for community immersion, implementation and society
development; and
 Apply sort of team effort that is applicable to the community.

(The students will set their mind about the lesson. On this part, the objectives will guide
the learners to accomplish the goals of the lesson)

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES


 Evaluate and assess the strength and weaknesses of their community.
 Engage with the people in the community.

INTRODUCTION
Engagement is not generally driven by a 'model' so much as by a framework of guiding
principles, strategies, and approaches. This framework is based on principles that respect the right of
all community members to be informed, consulted, involved and empowered. Community engagement
employs and range of tools and strategies to ensure success. It also places a premium on fostering and
enhancing trust as a critical element in long-term, sustainable engagement and effective governance.

This Module has 4 component


1. Encouragement: (To condition and motivate the learners for the lesson.
On this part, learners will prepare themselves to absorb new knowledge, and
information.)

2. Understanding and Analyzing. (The proper discussion of new knowledge


and information. To deliver the lesson, the utilization of techniques and
instructional references will be given such as videos, text and pictures.)

3. Planning and Application. (The students will plan action and preformed
the activities to assimilate new learnings. In this part the students will respond
to the problems and issues to their newly acquired information, knowledge,
skills, and behavior.)
4. Nurturing. (In order to enhance knowledge, retention of the newly
acquired information and knowledge must be synthesized. The learners
will further elaborate the knowledge they learned, in writing to summarize
all the ideas, the student will write their reflection in ONE PAPER
EVALUATION (OPE) in order to self-actualize the acquired knowledge
and information.) (Look for the copy of OPE at the end of this module)

or project implementation. And write your preparation on how you will deal with those expectations.

Elements of a Community
In order to engaged yourself to the community you must aware of those elements for you
to understand the essence of community development and community immersion. There are lot
of experiences and stories that you will heard from the community, but your experience will be
the most meaningful by understanding all of those. There are lessons that you will realize and
some will change your perspective, always remember that it is always up to you to accept ideas
from the community.

III. PLANNING AND APPLICATION

Activity 1: Evaluation
Instruction: Create an evaluation form that will assess your experience about the
community immersion and project implementation. Indicate all the good and bad thing happen.
Document all the events, happenings and experience you encounter with other people in the
community.

Activity 2: Experience
Instruction: Write all the stories and experiences you learned and heard to the community
at try to identify what part in the element of community it was belong.
