A. Preparatory Activities
1. Motivation

I WILL PLANT A GARDEN GREEN


I will plant a garden green can I watch it grow.
I’ll dig some here in the earth, in a nice straight row.
With a dig-dig here, and I dig-dig there, here I dig there I dig, everywhere I dig-dig.
Digging holes is so much fun;
I’m ready now to sow!
In each hole row I drop a seed, in each hole row by row.
With a drop- drop here, and a drop-drop there, here a drop there a drop,
Everywhere a drop-drop, planting seeds is so much fun just watch them sprout and
grow!

B. Developmental Activities
1. Presentation
The teacher will introduce about Soil Preparation and Planting. The
teacher will tell a story about how important to prepare the soil before planting. Along
the story telling the pupils will raise their hand and share their personal experience in
planting.
Once upon a time in a faraway province, two neighbors lived, their name is
Rosella and Jane, Rosella loves plants, surrounding her house are a lot of plants there
were hanging plants, plants planted on a colorful pot, and a lot of plants planted on her
backyard. While Jane also loves plants surrounding his house also has a lot of plants
but Jane's plants were not as colorful and lively as Rosella’s plants. One morning Jane
saw that Rosellas's plants are getting many and a lot of people are visiting Rosella's
house. Jane got jealous and he immediately gets his seedlings and threw them in his
backyard, Jane planted his seedling wherever he wanted and he digs and digs and
digs. After a few months Rosella's plants get even more beautiful while Jane's plants
never really grow as she expected, Jane again gets jealous and destroyed some of
Rosella's plants, Rosella heard a loud sound and went out of her house. Then she saw
John destroying her plants. Rosella cried and said, "Why are you destroying my plants
Jane? What is your problem? Jane answered, “Why do you have so many beautiful
plants, I always watered them every day but my plants never really grow as healthy as
yours. Then Rosella explains to Jane the different steps in preparing the soil and
planting. Later on, John learned how to prepare the soil and to plant, now he had a
beautiful garden like Rosella.

2. Analysis and Discussion


The teacher will ask the question and let pupils to participate by raising
their hands.

Directions: Group the class into four. Each group will be given a seedling and a
small pot, each group will identify what method should be the seedling be planted after
identifying they will go outside the classroom and perform the method that they chose.
