The stupid conspiracy is that they’re occult satanists bathing in blood.

When it’s probably just the regular old corruption you get at any rich gentleman’s club
but with extra robes and police lodges. Not surprised it’s led to mafia like members
within it as even triads started out as a secret society with ceremonies etc. If you’re
upper class criminal it’ll be dumb not to get membership in something that’ll try to
protect you

I worked with a freemason a few years back. Maybe it is different at other lodges but
he basically just knew all the gossip of middle class and knew how to get favours
easily. Those higher up or those who are richer and more powerful can probably use it
for shadier stuff though.

My grandad is one. He stopped going as the events they did stopped using live bands
and just had a DJ play some songs instead. That and he was long retired and the
networking he used it for became pointless.

Doesn't sound like some evil scheme to me but what do I know.
