1 OVERVIEW

1.1 Purpose
This procedure describes a guideline for maintenance task and activities of Preventive
Maintenance Refrigerator. This procedure is developed based on maintenance
strategy detail analysis, isolation and safety precautions that must be taken into
account for safe maintenance activities.

1.2 General Overview

The refrigerator is an electrical facility (cooler) to keep the freshness of the food inside.
The refrigerator consists of two parts, namely the freezer and refrigerator. The
components used are compressor, evaporator, condenser, timer, heater and other
supporting components. The refrigerator is used to store meat, fish, vegetables, and
food and others. Below are the specifications of the Panasonic NR-AF19AH
refrigerator.

Model NR-AF19AH

Volume (liter) 160 liter

Size 525x509x1201.5 mm

Empty Weight 27 kg

Insulation Developer Cyclopentane

Voltage, Frequency 220 V~ 50 Hz

Power 80 W / 0.68 A

Temperature Control Dial Adjustment

However, time goes by and the continuous use of fans, maintenance is needed so that
the refrigerator is not damaged. Some of the damages that occurred were such as
completely dead refrigerator, refrigerator leak, dirty evaporator, and others.
During operation, the refrigerator period can be ensured by the following processes:
• Corrosion
• Short circuit
• The room temperature is wrong
• Chipped cables
• Refrain leakage
• Operations that are overused
• Normal aging

2 HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS

2.1 Permit and Job Safety Analysis (JSA)

Approved permits. and a Job Safety Analysis (JSA) are required when working in
operations areas. All engineering and management safeguards must be applied before
any work activities begin.
See the "Work Management System" for guidance on the permits required when
implementing this procedure.

2.2 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

2.2.1 Operators are required to wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment
(PPE) at all times. PPE includes:
a) Hand gloves
b) Insulation Mats

document.
2.2.2 Special PPE must be worn where required for the specific job or the location:
a) The compressor has a high temperature, wear gloves to avoid a burning
sensation
b) Use an insulation mat to prevent electric shock
c) Stop using and unplug the supply cord when failure occurs

2.2.3 Environmental Precautions

Maintenance is carried out according to the manual for environmental protection. The
dangers that can be caused by damage to the refrigerator are dirty refrigerators and
electrical hazards. The dirt that builds up in the refrigerator causes damage.
Precautions that can be taken if the fan is dusty as follows:
a) Clean the entire contents of the refrigerator
b) Check the equipment for the potential for accumulation of dirt
In addition, refrigerators can cause electrical hazards and can be prevented by the
following steps:
a) Use a refrigerator with a voltage of 220V
b) Don’t store flammable or flammable materials
c) Stop using and unplug the supply cord when failure occurs
d) Don’t touch parts of the compressor which are exposed to high temperatures
e) Make sure there are no exposed cables

2.2.4 Special Safety Considerations

Every electronic device has a future. There is a possibility that the tool is damaged. A
refrigerator malfunction can be a compressor with a high temperature and an electric
shock. Therefore, it is necessary to be careful when using these tools. If necessary,
wear gloves to protect your hands. The following activities are important for doing work
safely:
a) Complete the PPE needed as safety
b) Prepare the required tools completely
c) Read the manual carefully

2.2.5 Maintenance Personnel Requirement

Only qualified maintenance personnel can perform maintenance activities. To be
eligible for maintenance tasks, personnel must successfully complete the following:
a) Electronics training
b) Maintenance orientation
c) Maintenance tools training
d) Sensor and transducer training
e) Safety training
f) Programmer
