Five years ago, I graduated with a degree of Business management at Mapua

University. I wasn’t expecting that I’m going to be studying again but destiny draw me to
where I should belong, and that is becoming a nurse. I chose to study at Sultan Kudarat
Educational Instutition and I can confidently say, to this day, that was the best decision
I ever made. My time here at SKEI has been filled with adventures. Like completing the
clinicals at Hospitals, doing a lot of case presentations, writing journals and nursing care
plans.I met incredible people, like my friends, Armando Cabana, Kathleen Cordero,
Lorelyn Agcaoili and Laurice Vidal who really made my nursing journey fun and
memorable. Studying nursing is not complete without my Clinical Instructors, they are
one of the treasures of this institution, therefore, I would like to grab this opportunity to
thank all of my Clinical Instructors one by one, First, Ma’am Angela, thank you for being
nice and approachable all the time, Ma’am Princess Arandilla, thank you for being the
most supportive and helping clinical instructor to us and all of the students at school, Sir
Reynald Ecija, thank you Sir for not giving up on our batch and for being the coolest CI
to us, I truly appreciate it. Sir Roy Labanon, thank you for teaching me to always have a
PLAN B when things don’t go as planned and not blame someone for it, to Ma’am
Evelyn Clavesillas and Ma’am Shirley P. Miguel thank you for teaching me all the things
and techniques that you know in the Delivery room. To ma’am Evanette Europa, you’re
the first CI I had that invited nurses and a Doctor during case presentation, thank you
for doing that ma’am, you’ve challenged us and made me and my group mates more
competitive. Last but not the least, Sir Ernesto Olivas, Sir, I will never forget the moment
you made me cry during our Operating room RLE, that day was one of the highlights of
my life, that day I learned to be a better Scrub nurse and a student. Thank you Sir for
your full effort to educate us about the procedures done in the OR and the sterility
technique. Of course, not only the CI’s are treasure of SKEi but also the staff, To ma’am
Viernes and Ma’am Gladys, thank you for the true friendship, I enjoy talks everytime I
go to the cashier, to Dean Sofia Natividad RN, RM, MAN, I am truly honoured to be one
of your student, your expertise in nursing are remarkable and I truly appreciate your
effort teaching us despite of the pandemic and thank you for being the best Dean to our
batch, to Ma’am Virginia Insular RN RM MAN, thank you for helping me and every
nursing student the best way possible and by being the best clinical coordinator this
institution needs, and to Ma’am Ritzelle Ecija Eugenio, I admire you as a person, you
help a lot of SKEI students and indigent people from the mountains, you are the
superwoman of this Institution and I thank you for being a good role model to everyone.

I am grateful that I am part of this institution that respects each other like family. And
that kind of atmosphere is so unique and powerful, that it actually becomes kind of
addicting. I can’t see myself standing here today without all the support and guidance
from my friends and the dedicated and intelligent SKEI staff and faculty. And I need to
thank my family, especially my Nanay and Tatay, who have supported me through thick
and thin and for not giving up on me, I love you nanay and tatay very much. Of course
to the love of my life and better half, Wyatt Alexander Bushman, I owe you everything,
my success is your success. Thank you for not giving up on us and for being the most
supportive fiancé in the world. Thank you for the love and making me feel that I’m the
luckiest woman alive ever. I love you very much and I’ll see you real soon.

and before I end my speech I want to leave this quote by Senator Orrin Hatch saying
“Graduation is not the end; it’s the beginning. Thank you so much and god bless us all
