INSTRUCTIONS TO WRITE A LETTER

This is part of a letter you receive from an English friend.

Now write a letter to your friend, giving your advice.

Write your letter in about 100 words on your answer sheet.

1. Xác định các đối tượng được nhắc tới trong bức thư

Ai là người nhận thư: an English friend

Topic: what should the person do after that person won some prize money in a competition

Main ideas: what is your suggestion, why that person should follow your suggestion

2. Bắt đầu viết lá thư

Introduction: giới thiệu nội dung sắp viết bằng cách nói lời cảm ơn vì người đó đã viết thư để hỏi ý kiến
của mình.

Opinion: đưa ra đề nghị của bản thân và giải thích tại sao lại đưa ra đề nghị đó (ví dụ như bạn ấy nên
dùng tiền thưởng để đi du lịch thoả thích vì đây là ước mơ của người bạn đó).

Conclusion: kết thúc bằng cách mong rằng đề nghị của mình sẽ giúp đỡ được người bạn và ý kiến riêng
của mình và lời nhắn nhủ cuối cùng. (ví dụ như bản thân mình mong rằng người bạn đó sẽ sử dụng số
tiền một cách đúng đắn và sau đó sẽ nói tạm biệt, giữ gìn sức khoẻ).

At first, I am congratulate you on winning a lot of money. If I were you, I would spend a small part from
this budget to have a small party with my family.

The rest of this budget I will use for investment. When you get money back from investment.

You can have exciting holiday and one more thing, investment is very exciting.

Dear Mary,

It’s a really good idea to consider buying a new bicycle as I remember that your current one is
broken. I personally think that it is better to buy your new bicycle from a shop because you can have
physicial touch to give a good decision later on. If you like a red one, you can ask to see those with
the decoration pattern of red and the best thing is you can make a purchase after deciding which
one is the most suitable. Moreover, you can avoid from buying broken bike, which is likely to
happen when you buy it online. For me, I rarely buy things online since I do not think those websites
are reliant. Hope that my suggestion can help you.
