1.

In your own opinion, why is peace education important in our

present time?

The world has seen some of the highest rates of violence in recent

decades, affecting a broad variety of countries and areas, from the

poorest to the wealthiest, and directly affecting the lives, dignity, and

well-being of millions of people around the world. Conflicts

frequently result in unequal resource distribution and vice versa,

resulting in inequality.

Peace education, in my opinion, is a critical component in

preventing armed conflict and violence, saving lives, and freeing up

limited resources for social needs.

2. The list of Peace Education's schema of knowledge, skills and

attitudes and values is exhaustive. What else can you add to each

(knowledge, skills, and attitudes)? Explain.

 Knowledge : SELF - AWARENESS

- For the person to attain peace within

himself/herself, he/she must be aware of his/her self.

 Skills : MANAGE EMOTION

- In order for the individual to avoid conflict, chaos,

problems, etc. he/she must know how to manage his/her

emotion.

 Attitudes/Values : RECONCILIATION

- To finally achieve stable peace, one should

reconcile with their enemies or those person they argue with.

Because peace without reconciliation is no peace at all.
