“Juan, the Industrious Boy”

Juan is living in their house with his grandmother – Lola Salas.


Lola Salas is teaching Juan on how to do the household chores. They start
with the living room because it is the most used room in their house so she is
instructing Juan some ways on how to clean it. It is their place to sit with the family
members and friends where they chat, play, and watch. Before they start cleaning,
they remove items like frames and vases and wipe them down individually. Keep
them aside until the surfaces are clean and then put them back in their proper places.
They remove and discard anything that is plainly trash. Put away any items that don’t
belong in the living room. They collect it and put it in a box to be put it away. Clean
the sofa and chairs in the room. Organize the shelve books. Use a wet rag and
cleaning solution in wiping the tables, desks, TV, and windows. Once the things in
the living room have arranged, that is the time for mopping the floor.
Juan learned that cleanliness is very important. It is important in a way that
your things are organized and neat.
