1. When choosing which web page creator to use, I had to first do some research as
creating webpage was completely new to me. After researching, I found that the top
two most user-friendly web-based portfolio platform were Weebly and Google.
Although I use Google quite frequently, I decided to go with Weebly to teach myself
something different.
2. Now that my platform was chosen, I navigated to www.weebly.com.
3. I created an account with Weebly.
4. I was redirected to sign in. Once signed in I click on the “add site” button to create a new
website.
5. I then chose my domain name and ended it in ‘.weebly.com’ so that I could use the
Weebly platform for free.
6. I chose a theme. I chose one that was the most eye-catching.
7. After choosing a theme, I deleted all the content it came with to give myself a blank
space to work with.
8. I then began designing my ‘Home Page’. I named the site and gave the ‘home page’ an
introduction.
9. After I finished designing my ‘home page’, I went on to renaming the other three pages
on my website. Because I chose to make my website my classroom webpage, I renamed
my pages accordingly.
10. I added images to each page according to the class title to help aide in visual material.
11. I added a hyperlink at the bottom of my ‘home page’ per requirements.
12. After making sure that I met all the requirements of task 1, I went ahead and published
my website.
13. After the website was published, I copied the link and shared it with my husband and
mother to make sure it would open in different browser and desktop types, along with
on a mobile device.
