TDT1-TASK 1

For this task I decided to use the website weebly.com to help me design my e-
portfolio. I logged in the weebly website and navigated on the “add site” section and
then picked a theme. The website provides different types of themes depending on
what you are searching for. I chose the portfolio theme Susan Smith. After picking a
theme I was prompted to pick a domain name. I wanted to make sure it was a name
never used before so I used my first initial and my last name.

After choosing a theme I created for different pages: Home, Print instructional material,
Graphic instructional material and Multimedia Instructional material. I also deleted all the
pictures and text that were not relevant to my portafolio. Adding pages to my website
was very simple. To add the headings, you click on pages on the top tab. The new
headings will show on the left side and you can edit or name it however you want.

Once I worked on the home portion of my page, I added a Picture to the background of
a rock and a star. I want to give people a very positive message when they open my
page so together it will say “ you are a rock star.” Then I created a simple title for my
website “ Welcome to my e-portfolio” and then added the subtitle “This websites was
designed for WGU TDT1 task 1 Technology Design e-portfolio.” I decided to make my
title bold and underlined so it would stand out. I also added a picture of myself and a
little introduction to my portfolio and things that can be found in it.

Next to my picture I add it a Link to the WGU teacher college and weebly, for users to
have more information. On the left side of the page I clicked on add a button and
dragged it where I want it to be. Then I add it a text and copy the link to it. I also add it a
link to this google document on how I made task 1 portfolio.
