Process of Website Creation:

1. I decided to choose Weebly.com to create my online E-Portfolio because the layout and

format of the website was intriguing and easy to follow.

2. Once I logged into the website (Weebly.com) I then clicked on the button that said

"Design your own website." I then chose the theme "Modus Operandi- Cento" because it

seemed like the most suitable and appropriate theme for my E-Portfolio based on its lay

out, color, and formatting tools.

3. I then was prompted to choose a domain name or name for E-Portfolio website.

Because this E-Portfolio is personal to me, I chose to go with my first name and middle

name initials and my last name to keep the domain simple and easy to remember.

4. To begin editing my E-Portfolio I started by going through the theme itself and

deleting all content including pictures, headings, and text boxes that was not related to the

topic of my E-Portfolio that I was not going to use.

5. Once all content that I was not going to use was removed from my theme, I went and

inserted all of the appropriate title headings that I needed to meet the requirements of task

1. I did this by clicking on "Pages" and then re-named each individual page "Main idea",

"Multimedia Instructional Materials", "Print Instructional Materials" and "Creating a

Professional E-Portfolio."

6. Then, I went into each page of the E-Portfolio and wrote a text box that said "Content

Coming In Next Tasks" to allow my instructor to know that more content will be added at

a later time. Then, I went back to the main page and added a picture of myself to show

the reader who created this website. I also inserted an image of a computer because I am

earning my MEd in Learning and Technology. At this time, I also titled my website as the

name of this task, my name, and the course this work is for. I decided to change and bold

the title font so that it is the first thing the reader sees when visiting my website.

8. Under the title header and between the two images I titled what school this website

was designed for and made it in the center of the website so the readers eyes are drawn to

it. Under neath that, I added a short paragraph talking about the purpose for creating this

website as well as some information about myself that might be of interest to the reader.

9. Lastly, in the text box that I added what school this website was designed for, I also

embedded a link to the Western Governors University website so that if readers

are interested in learning more about it, all they need to do is click on it and will

automatically direct them to the webpage.

10. To complete creating this website for task 1, I clicked on the blue button on the right

hand corner of the screen that says "Publish." Once my website was fully published, I

made sure that the URL for my website was working as well as making sure

that the website opened on another device.
