ePortfolio Reflection
Creating the ePortfolio was not hard per se, but a little bit tedious as I had to learn how to
use a completely different site making program in order to make it. The hardest part about
making the ePortfolio itself was probably coming up with a theme to base it on. I chose to go
with a flowering theme mainly because I’ve made it a habit to use flower and plant motifs to
define my writing journey, and I wanted to continue those motifs into this project. The second
hardest part of this project was interpreting what the first learning objective meant. I spent a
ridiculous amount of time staring at the words “generating inquiry” trying to decipher them like
a code, then rereading the short description and the PowerPoint slide over and over again, words
going into one ear and out of the other like my brain was a subway station. Eventually, I just
Googled what “generating inquiry” meant and facepalmed as I remembered the word “inquiry”
means “question”. After I found that out, it was still a bit of a struggle piecing together what I
was meant to do for that outcome, but I managed to come up with assignments that I felt
Since this project was so similar to the ePortfolio assignment we were tasked to do in
ENC 1101, I didn’t really feel as though creating the site itself and gathering artifacts were all
that difficult. As I mentioned before, though, learning how to operate Weebly was a bit of a
hassle. For my ENC 1101 ePortfolio I used Google Sites, which was extremely easy to navigate.
I originally wanted to go with the website Wix to create my portfolio, but after realizing I had no
clue how to operate that website, I went on to find an easier one to use. I decided to look into
