SCENE 1:
Narrator: Yǒu yīgè jiějiě hé tā de dìdì xiǎng chī miàntiáo, yīzǎo qǐchuáng jiù chūqù zhǎo miànguǎn erle.
Yīnwèi tāmen bù zhīdào nǎ li yǒu miànguǎn er, tāmen jiù wèn lùguò de rénle.

Narrator: Once, a sister and her brother wanted to have noodles. When they got up in the morning, they
went out to look for a noodle house. Since they don't know where the noodle house is, they asked a
passer-by.

Jiějiě: Xiǎojiě, qǐngwèn zuìjìn de miànguǎn er zài nǎ'er?

Elder sister: Miss, where is the nearest noodle house?

Dìdì: Wǒmen yào chī zuì hào chī de miàntiáo.

Younger brother: We want to eat the best noodles.

Xiǎojiě: Rúguǒ nǐmen xiǎng chī hào chī de miàntiáo nǐmen jiù yào zǒu yuǎn yīdiǎn er.

Miss: If you want to eat delicious noodles, you have to go a little further.

Jiějiě: Dìdì, nǐ zěnme kàn?

Elder sister: Younger brother, what do you think?

Dìdì: Jiějiě, méi wèntí, zǒu duō yuǎn wǒ dū kěyǐ. Wǒmen yěyǒu shíjiān.

Younger Brother: Elder sister, no problem, I can go as far as necessary. We have the time.

Xiǎojiě: Yīqiān duō mǐ.

Dìdì: Nà li yǒu yángròu miàn ma?

SCENE 2:
Narrator: Tāmen zǒule sānshí fēnzhōng, jiù dàole huǒchē zhàn. Suīrán tāmen kànjiànle huǒchē zhàn,
dànshì háishì kàn bù dào miànguǎn er.

Narrator: They walked for thirty minutes and arrived at the train station. Although they saw the train
station, they still couldn't see the noodle restaurant.

Jiějiě: Nǐ kàn dào miànguǎn er ma?

Elder Sister: Do you see the noodle house?

Dìdì: Méiyǒu. Wǒmen yǐjīng dào huǒchē zhànle, dànshì zhè'er méiyǒu miànguǎn er. Yào bùyào zǒu jìnqù
wèn biérén a?

Younger Brother: No. We have already arrived at the train station, but there is no noodle house here. Do
you want to go in and ask around?

Jiějiě: Xiānshēng, qǐngwèn zhè li yǒu miànguǎn er ma?

Waiter: We have another noodle house which sells lamb noodles. Just turn to your right and walk for ten
minutes. Their lamb noodles are famous.

Jiějiě: Nàgè miànguǎn er shì bùshì yǐqián zài huǒchē zhàn pángbiān de?
Elder Sister: That noodle house used to be next to the train station?

Fúwùyuán: Duì! Nǐ yě tīngguò a!

Waiter: Right! You have heard about it!

Dìdì: Yǒurén gàosù wǒmen nàgè miànguǎn er de yángròu miàn hěn hào chī. Jiějiě, wǒmen kuài diǎn er
zǒu ba. Wǒmen zǒu lái zǒu qù yǐjīng yǒu yīgè xiǎoshíliǎo!

Younger Brother: Someone told us the lamb noodles in that noodle house are delicious. Elder sister, let's
go quickly. We have been walking around for an hour!

SCENE 4:
Narrator: Dàole nàgè miànguǎn er, tāmen kànjiàn hěnduō rén zài wàimiàn zhèngzài děngzhe. Jiějiě kàn
yīxià shǒubiǎo jiù shuō:

Narrator: When they arrived at the noodle house, many people were already waiting outside. Elder
sister looked at his watch and said:

Jiějiě: Bù zhīdào yào děng duō cháng shíjiān cáinéng zhǎodào wèizi.

Elder Sister: I don't know how long it will take to find a seat.

Dìdì: Zhème duō rén, kàn lái zhèlǐ de miàn zhēn de hěn hào chī.
