PASSIVE VOICE (THỂ BỊ ĐỘNG)

I. Lý thuyết:
Cách chuyển đổi câu bị động cơ bản:

Active: Subject V Object

Passive: Subject Be + V3/V-ed by Object

Ví dụ:
Active: Mr.Smith built that house in 1990.
Passive: That house WAS BUILT by Mr.Smith in 1990.
Active: No one helped the boy with this work.
Passive: The boy WAS NOT HELPED with this work. (by no one)
Lưu ý:
1. Động từ TOBE trong câu bị động phải tương thích với thì của câu chủ động.
2. Các chủ từ I, We, You, They, He, She, It, One, Someone, Everyone, Somebody, Everybody,
People thường được lược bỏ đi.
3. Thứ tự các vế trong câu bị động: Trạng từ nơi chốn + by …. + Trang từ thời gian.
Ví dụ: The vase had been put on the table by John yesterday before you came.
4. Ở giữa TOBE và V3/Ved sẽ là trạng từ (Adverb có đuôi -ly) (áp dụng note này cho các dạng
bài tập word form)
Ví dụ: This problem has been carefully studied.
II. Các dạng bị động khác.
1.Bị động với hai tân ngữ:
Trường hợp câu chủ động xuất hiện 2 tân ngữ, ta có đến 2 trường hợp câu bị động.
 Tuy nhiên trong giao tiếp thì tân ngữ chỉ người thường được dùng nhiều hơn.
Ví dụ:
Active: Jack gives me some coursebooks for the next semester.
Passive 1:Jack__________________________________________________________.
Passive 2: Some money___________________________________________________.
2. Đối với các động từ chỉ giác quan (see, notice, taste, hear, smell, feel…)
Active: We see her_________(walk) down the street.
Passive: She________________________(see) out the street.
3. Đối với các động từ cảm xúc (like, love, hate, wish, prefer, hope, want…)
Active: He wants someone___________(take) the photo of this dress.
Passive: He wants the photo of this dress____________(take).
4. Các ý kiến (report, said, told, suggest, advise….)
Có hai dạng bị động của các dạng câu này.
Ví dụ 1:
Active: They report that the air pollution has drive the birds to the edge of extinction.
Passive 1: It_____________ (report)that the air pollution has drive the birds to the edge of
extinction. (thể chủ ngữ giả)
Passive 2: The air pollution ____________(report) to have drive the birds to the edge of
extinction. (thể To-V của câu gián tiếp)
Ví dụ 2:
Active: The scientists said that water is necessary for Human.
Passive 1: It____________ (say) that water is necessary for Human by the scientists.
Passive 2: Water _____________(say) to be necessary for Human by the scientists.
5. Thể sai khiến: (với Have, Get)
a. Với động từ HAVE:

S + HAVE + O (person) + V1 + O
Ví dụ: I have Jay do the report for me.

S + HAVE + O (thing) + V3/V-ed.

Ví dụ: I have the car fixed.
b. Với động từ GET:

S + GET + O (person) + to V + O
Ví dụ: I get Jay to do the report for me.

S + GET + O (thing) + V3/Ved

Ví dụ: I get the car fixed.
