2. Complete the following exercise:

a) She said, "I am reading."

 3. WRITING AND SPEAKING PRACTICE
Using the reported speech, create a conversation and roleplay it next class.
The context is the following:

Three friends are talking about something that happened recently. They report
things that were said by them or others. For example:

Person A: Well, that was a good party. Wasn’t it?

Person B: Yeah, it was. But I was upset when your friend said that I had gained weight.
Person C: Did I really tell you that? Wow, I don’t remember.

Observe that the sentence in red uses the reported speech. That’s what I want.

DANIEL. Hello, how are you?

MELANYE. I am very well, but my friend Kessed told me he was feeling sick.
KESSED. Yes, I had told you that, but I feel fine now.
DANIEL. Kessed had told me they were shopping.
MELANYE. No, we were eating in a restaurant.
KESSED. Yes, why did you say we were shopping? That's weird.
DANIEL. I'm sorry I thought I heard that, what did you eat?
MELANYE. We had steak and chips that day, we like it very much.
KESSED. Yes, it's our favorite food. Daniel, what did you do?
DANIEL. I stayed at home watching a movie.
MELANYE. That's a good plan, I also like to stay at home and watch a movie.
KESSED. Yes, that's a good plan, we must go now, be well.
MELANYE. Take care of yourself.
