Defects/deficiencies were noted during inspection, as follows:
a. Faulty electrical wiring at the main entrance
b. Portable fire extinguishers needs preventive maintenance
c. Insufficient number of portable fire extinguishers, defective alarm at ground floor
d. Insufficient directional signages
Recommendations:
a. Electrical wiring must conform with the provision of electrical code
b. Portable fire extinguishers with 12 months are since deployment must be reconditioned.
c. Provide additional portable fire extinguisher to buildings/room without a unit
d. Provide directional signages, submit fire safety contingency plan with checklists of fire
extinguishers, smoke detectors, fire alarm, emergency lights.
e. Provide emergency medical kits
f. submit fire evacuation plan
g. Door grills must be swing-out in the direction of exit travel.
