PICTORIAL NARRATIVE REPORT ON FIRE DRILL

What is FIRE? Fire is the active principle of burning , characterized by the heat and
light of combustion. Fire is also one of the deleterious disasters that threatens the lives of
people or even compromises loss of property. Everyone should be aware on how to prevent
fire by conducting drills. Drill that will teach everyone what are the precautionary measures
we should do at school or even at home.

Pursuant to the Department of Education ( DepEd ) Order No. 28,s. 2016 Strengthening
the Fire Safety and Awareness Program partnered with National Disaster Risk Reduction
Management

Council ( NDRRMC ) and Bureau Of Fire Protection , Capunitan Elementary

School conducted a

Fire Drill last June 30, 2016 with FO1 Jayson Baluyot , FO1 Andrei

Lorenzo Agustin , FO1 Carlo Dumawal and Jun Fernandez to generate the highest level of
awareness among the public on disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptations
through emergency drills.

Pupils and teachers of the above mentioned school were given orientation on what to
do when fire occurs in real life, on how to go outside safely when at school or at the house .
The focus is on schools so that our students from the elementary levels will be aware of what
they should do and where they should go in times of fire. Things need to remember and to
do when disaster happened were enumerated such as: Please be quiet so you can hear your
teacher, walk quickly but do not run to the playground, stay together so the teacher can take
roll at the playground and lastly , return quickly and quietly to the room after the fire drill.
After the drill , all of them are ready when fire occurs because they are equipped with
enough knowledge ,attitudes and skills that will save their lives and even their properties.
