8.4 Lead measurement

8.4.1 Lead tolerances

Lead tolerances shall be expressed in terms of millimetres per 25,4 mm (inches per 1 in) of threads and
cumulative error and lead errors shall be determined accordingly. For interval measurements over lengths
other than 25,4 mm (1 in), the observed errors should be calculated to the basis of millimetres per 25,4 mm
(inches per 1 in). For cumulative measurements, observed errors represent the cumulative errors.
