Grammar

Prepositions of place (Under, behind, opposite, next to, between, in front of, above, below)

Above: We use it to indicate that something is higher than the imaginary line that makes reference to the limit of
the other object or person. (A is above the line)

Below: it’s the opposite to above, this one indicate that something is lower that the other object. (B is below the
line)

Opposite: We use it to indicate that one thing is in front of another one and their facing in the same direction. (A
is opposite C)

Under: We use it to say that one thing is at a lower level than another, and that the other thing is directly above
it.

Behind: This preposition is used to indicate that something or someone is at the back of someone or something.
(The person B is behind the person A)

Next to (or Beside): When someone or something is located on the side.

Between: It is used when someone or something is located in the middle of other two people or things.

In front of: Indicate that something is in a forward position. (The person A is in front of the person B)
