From 0-2 feet the soil consists of brown, stiff lean clay with medium plasticity and high dry strength. From 2-5 feet the soil is similar brown stiff lean clay with medium to high dry strength and some roots and concretions. The test pit contained lean clay to a depth of 6 feet where bedrock was encountered.
