Narrative Report:
In line with the School Letter No. 11, s. 2021 dated March 12, 2021 and in order to provide ample time for
teachers and learners to cope with the demands of Distance Learning, Time was devoted to provide Remedial Instruction
to learners. The teaching-learning activities were given for individual learners to cope up with the lessons.
The activity addresses learning gaps by re-teaching basic skills focus on core areas which is Reading.
OBJECTIVES:
1.To identify the strengths and weaknesses of pupils in reading through the administration of diagnostic
instruments.
2.To employ direct phonemic awareness training.
3.To emphasize teaching by drawing children’s attention to letters and words in popular children’s
stories.
4. To establish accuracy and fluency in beginning reading skills.
5. To improve comprehension skills of pupils.
6. To develop their love for reading.

Online Kumustahan/ Remedial Reading Session with one of Grade 1 learner, Miel Dionisio.
The adviser of Grade 1 section Rizal, Ma’am Leni dela Cruz introduced the vowels to her learner as one
of the steps to establish accuracy and fluency in beginning reading skills.
