Assignment #5: Review Paper of Special Topic in Ergonomics or Applying
Ergonomics to a Civil Engineering Workplace Problem

Review Paper:
Choose a topic that your group is particularly interested in, making sure there is
sufficient literature documented. Review the current literature on that topic (preferably
within the last 10 years) and prepare a review paper that addresses the following:

1. Objective of your review clearly stated

2. Summary (overview of the entire paper, note relevant facts and findings from the article,
and include also the author’s conclusion in this section)
3. Your review of the article (with references cited)
a. Presents the strengths and weaknesses you found in the publication
b. Write about gaps or contradictions you have found in the article
c. Take a standpoint of either supporting or not supporting the author’s assertion, but
back up your argument with facts and relevant theories that are pertinent to that area
of knowledge.
4. Conclusions
a. Revisit the critical points, your findings in the article, and your review. Also, write
the accuracy, validity, and relevance of the results of the article review. Present a way
forward for future research in the field of study.

The paper should be 15-25 pages DOUBLE-SPACED.
