 This pandemic situation does not stop teachers to continued learning. Grade Three Teachers of Timoteo Paez Elementary School held another webinar
entitled “Intervention Strategies for Students at Risk in Distance Learning, Text blast and Google Form 101.” The webinar focused on understanding learners at risk and
what suited interventions teachers can give to help them cope in their daily lessons. Text blast is an SMS text message useful for easiest way in connecting with parents.
And Google Form 101 is a web-based app used to create for data collection purposes. This can help students and teachers in making surveys, quizzes, and event
registration like webinars.
Grade Three Teachers held the said webinar last May 7, 2021 at 1:00 in the afternoon, led by TPES Principal IV Mrs. Glenda D. Tabaquirao, Mrs. Jessica
L. Madronio Master Teacher In-Charge, Mr. Rafael D. Dacaimat T1, Ms. Jocel O. Serrano T1 and the rest of Grade Three Teachers attended via Google Meet.
The program started with the prayer followed by a Nationalistic Song and Pasay Hymn through video presentation. Ms. Jocel O. Serrano hosted the
program. She gave also, the thought of the day. Checking of attendance was delivered by Mr. Rafael D. Dacaimat. Mrs. Jessica L. Madronio gave an inspiring opening
remark. Ms. Jocel O. Serrano delivered the first topic. She discussed about “Intervention Strategies for Students at Risk in Distance Learning.” The participants enjoyed
sharing at the given activity. The ideas they shared opened a heated discussion of the topic. She focused on three important things to help at risk learners: Stronger
Teachers-Learners- Parents Relationship, Teaching strategies and Learning instruction and Diversity of learners and Assessment. Additional knowledge was shared by
the participants since the topic was very helpful at this pandemic situation.
The next speaker was Mr. Rafael D. Dacaimat. His topic focused into two: The Text Blast and Google Form 101. Mr. Dacaimat showed the step-by-step
procedures on how to manage this Text Blast. From the installation part down to the part that you can use your phone to text/send messages to parents. Participants were
very eager to learn this helpful software. Google Form 101 was a very functional app, this is mainly used by teachers in making quizzes and tests. In the part of parents
and students, this can lessen their burden in answering modules and tests. Everybody wanted to learn these topics since these were adopted at this new normal. Mr.
Dacaimat answered all the queries of teachers very humbly. At the end of the session, the host expresses her gratitude for teacher’s active participation.
This webinar is a steppingstone for Grade Three Teachers to continue motivating and adapting new platforms and programs that showcase talents and skills in
providing the quality education of the learners.
