10. Course Understanding the physics of chemical change is important to uncover the
Synopsis: underlying principles of chemistry. This course highlights the behaviour of
matter on atomic and molecular levels, as well as the changes that take place
along with chemical reactions. The topics covered are Principle of Chemistry,
Chemical Bonding, Stoichiometry and Solution Concentration, States of Matter,
Chemical Energetics/Thermochemistry, Reaction Kinetics, Equilibria, Acid-
Base Equilibria and Electrochemistry. The acquired knowledge will help
students to develop a strong foundation in the physical properties of atoms and
molecules, as well as the scientific concepts behind chemical reactions.
