COMPONENT 2 - NEGOTIATION

NEGOTIATION TIMELINE
DURATION: 3 WEEKS (EXCLUDING MID-TERM BREAK)

START: WEEK 7
END: WEEK 9

THIS TIMELINE DETAILS THE STEPS THAT BOTH GROUP CAPTAIN AND MEMBERS WILL
FOLLOW AND HOW EACH STEP WILL BE ACHIEVED.

REMEMBER - YOUR GROUP WILL HAVE ONE MODERATOR, PARTY A AND PARTY B (DEPENDING ON THE QUESTION).

EVERY STEP WILL BE RECORDED IN MICROSOFT TEAMS. REFER TO MOODLE FOR NOTES,

STEP 1 - WEEK 7

ASSIGNING ROLES
Select the scenario that your group
intends to negotiate on. Then, decide
the roles of each member. The group
captain will be the moderator. Group
captain will post the selected
scenario and roles of each member.
STEP 2 - WEEK 7

RESEARCH WORK
Each member will post content on
the selected scenario to be used as
extra reading. Group captain will

NEEDS & WANTS
All members except the captain must
identify the issue/problem, goals,
needs & wants of your party. STEP 4 - WEEK 8

PRACTISE
As a group, practice the opening of Opening stage of the negotiation
your negotiation meeting. Prepare a meeting:
meeting log/minute as proof that
this activity was completed. Details 1. Opening speech by moderator
of this practice will be briefed in 2. Discussion of issues/problems
class. 3. Explain goals, interests and wants

All Group Captains must keep track of their team's progress. Failure to keep
me updated on any issues or general progress can and will affect your group's
performance. Keep me informed via Team's chat or in your group's private
