Brief Details of Drill or Exercise

SIMULATION
0915Hrs: Suddenly the generator black out, duty engineer report to the master and chief
engineer.

0918Hrs: Emergency generator starts. Chief engineer and other engineers take action as soon as
possible to rectify the problem of main generator. The master instructs chief officer to stand by
anchor with anchor party. The master also report to port control and other ships in vicinity
regarding not under command and exhibit the signal for not under command.

0920Hrs: The problem in main generator rectified and main generator starts. The emergency
generator shut down. Chief engineer informs master about this.

0925Hrs: The master reports it to the port control and also instructs chief officer to secure fore
ward. The signal for not under command lowered down. Ship starts proceeding.

0930Hrs: Master announces drill complete.

Improvements required (Attach correspondence, check-lists, purchase requisitions, etc if applicable)

All of crew onboard are familiar regarding the above drill means how to take action earlier
once the vessel blackout such as prepare the emergency generator then use it; to settle the
trouble of main generator as soon as possible then to restart.
