STAR RATING
In aim of providing the best technical skill senior citizen, solo parent and person with
experience and in enhancing the quality of TTIs, disabilities (PWD). The activity was done as part

NC II had garnered 2 stars each which means
the qualifications have meet the standards

Competency Based Training (CBT) program
delivery and program performance measures.
The month-long preparation of the documents
has given way to the intensive reports. STAR
Rating is purposely done to check and audit the
capability, capacity of the qualifications if it
passed the standards of a TVET institution. The

audit last September 8, 2016 held at
Dressmaking NC II/ Tailoring NC II building with SENIOR CITIZEN
three (3) auditors from the regional office
namely (names of rep) and one (1)
representative from the industry, Philip Flores;
joined by DRM-Instructor/Trainer Marivic
Jeresano.

The photo shows the orientation and
demonstration of sausage making on the
different sectors of the community including
BITFEX 2016
In line with the annual celebration of
Penafrancia festival and in aim of enjoining all
TESDA-Technology institutions and Public and
Private Technical Vocational Institutions, the 5 th
Bicol Travel and Food Exposition (BITFEX)
concluded with eight (8) participating schools
held at SM City Naga last September 16, 2016.
Eight participating schools includes CASIFMAS,
La Consolacion Iriga, Mariners Legazpi, Mariners Scaffold erection
Naga, Apicius Naga, Apicius Legazpi, Sorsogon NC II
National Agricultural School (SNAS ) and Construction
TESDA-Bulusan National Vocational Technical Painting NC II
School which competed to four (4) different Auto Electrical
categories such as Restaurant Service (table Assembly NC II
skirting, napkin folding and flower Carpentry
arrangement/center piece), Bread and Pastry Household
Production (cake decorating), Flair tending Services
competition and lastly, Cooking emphasizing Computer
“Namit Bikolnon (Taste of Bicol). Hardware

TESDA-BNVTS caters for Ms. Earth International
2016

Bulusan National Vocational Technical School

hold a catering service for Ms. Earth
International-Swimsuit Competition last 17th of
October 2016 at Bulusan Lake, Bulusan,
Sorsogon. Proudly Bicolano home-made
products were served to the twenty-four (24)
stunning candidates and guests.

Intramurals Celebration 2016

Intramurals 2016 celebration is in line with

TESDA 22nd Anniversary. The five-day
foundation celebrations include sports fest,
showcase of beauty and talent in the Search for
Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2016 and Skills
demonstration for Solo parent, Persons with
Disabilities (PWDs) and Senior Citizens chapter.

One-day Seminar on Drugs and Gender &
Development Awareness
In support of the school’s war on Drugs and
Gender equity, the school organized a one-day
seminar on Drugs and Gender and Development
Awareness program held at Food and Beverages
Services building on the 14th of October 2016.
Invited speakers from the province and
municipal police station had shared their
expertise on their respective topics. Speakers
included Fiscal Edwin F. Honra, Assistant
Provincial Prosecutor provided discussion on
the “whys” and “hows” and situational analysis
on human trafficking, and laws implemented for
the protection of women and children’s rights.
He gave emphasis on the providing equal
opportunity for both men and women. Fiscal
Honra cited the provisions and amendments on
RA 9262 which conferred to address violence
committed against women and children. On the
other hand, PO2 Tolosa discoursed the by-laws
on illegal drug trade and its harmful effect to
men. Tolosa emphasized the ways on
preventing the usage of drugs and the measures
taken if caught and tested positive on drugs.
The guidance office as the facilitating
committee and other supporting staff provided
token for the speakers as token of gratitude.
The seminar concluded with the distribution of
snacks and certificates to the attendees. (SEE
