I. RATIONALE
The Senior High Department of Caraga Regional Science High School, specifically under the
Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) strand finds that Community participation help ensure
the fairer allocation of benefits, by easing access to these benefits by politically or economically
weak groups. Unfortunately, due to pandemic, symposiums about this matter can’t be done as
the usual face-to-face way Thus, we the Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) Guild propose
the Carascian Community Awareness Webinar 2021, with a theme: "Youth for Change: Bringing
Community Participation to Online Platforms Amidst the Pandemic” a half-day webinar session.
This said program will cover three different community awareness topics, having Grade 7, 8, 9,
and 10 students as our participants divided into different sessions, this coming June 26, 2021.
There will be five (5) google meet rooms generated prior to the day of the activity. One (1) room
where the main program is held and four (4) separate rooms for each breakout sessions. Each
room for the breakout sessions will accept a total of 80 students from each grade level (a limit of
20 students per section) leaving extra slots for the staff and the speakers. The officers of each
section will be prioritized to join the webinar. The google meet links will be sent to the participants’,
speakers’, and guests ’email prior to the day of the activity. Before and during the opening of the
main program, the moderators of each breakout session room will do a livestream for their partic-
ipants. This way, the main google meet room can accommodate enough people including the
HUMSS staff, teachers, guests, and speakers.
The cornerstone of this activity, is to raise awareness and provide knowledge about certain com-
munity awareness and participation to the youth amidst the pandemic.
This activity is designed to encourage, help, and give awareness to the youth about the relevant
issues of society. Issues to be addressed are; About Community Awareness (Covid-19 and
