1.0              Introduction

“GREEN CAMP” is a program which encourages youth to be close to nature and spend
their time to appreciate mother nature more. It is also a great program for student who is
actually having nothing to do during their semester breaks. Here is the brief description
on our program;

Date                :           27-29 May 2011

Venue             :           Sungai Pauh Campsite, Cameron Highland

Time               :           8.00 a.m (27 May) – 7.00 pm (29 May)

Organizer       :           HijauDaun Sdn. Bhd.

They can join this camp and having fun meeting new friends and exploring the nature.
Not just that, this program is created so that it can encourage youth to do something
beneficial rather than doing nothing in their past times. They can actually learn many
things here in this camp as we provide many beneficial yet healthy activities.

The activity we will carry on during this camp can actually strengthen the bonds
between the student, promoting them to love and appreciate nature more and also to
teach and guide them on how to survive with the nature. Nowadays, it seems like
people has neglected the mother nature and being irresponsible towards it such as
littering around, air pollution by the factory smoke and deforestation.

All of these immoral human acts can lead to natural catastrophe such as landslide, flash
floods, soil corrosion and extinction of flora and fauna. Without people realization, these
can actually lead to massive consequences as the next generation will not have chance
to explore the nature and also can cause lost of lives.

With joining this camp, we hope that the student will learn to appreciate mother
nature more and be a responsible human.

2.0       Objectives

 To promote participants to appreciate mother nature

 To strengthen the bonds between participants

 To give more information about nature to the participants

5.0 Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC)

5.1 Marketing

Marketing is one of the most main factors that determines the success of an event. This
is due to the fact that lack of marketing elements would give less exposure to the
targeted audience and hence causing little people to attend the event. The marketing
strategy that we have selected are basically the ones that are proven to be effective and
able to reach a large number of audience. As for marketing, we will be using banner,
posters, and flyers.

We have chosen a theme to be used in all three marketing elements ( banner,
posters, and flyers). The theme is the use of the color green, flora, and pictures that
have connection to the activities that will be held during the program. Below is the brief
description on our marketing elements.

5.1.1 Banner

The banner is basically the main attraction that is used to attract and thus creating
awareness among people about our event. It does not consist of a detailed information
about the event but it does have the necessary and important information such as date,
venue, event headline, teaser, and sponsors. The pictures that we are using in the
banner are also the ones that are able to convey information to people that we are
going to conduct a nature awareness program.

5.1.2 Poster
The headline of the poster, “Nurturing Nature Symbolizes Us As One” is specifically
selected due to the fact that we would want to give certain impact to those who see
them. This headline shows that we humans are living as one with nature and so we
ought to show appreciation to it. The theme green used on the poster is used to
symbolize nature and that we ought to learn to preserve and conserve it. On the poster
itself, we are going to include the brief details on the event regarding its date, venue,
and sponsors that are going to collaborate in our event.

5.1.3 Flyers

The flyer is basically a smaller version of the poster. Nevertheless, we would also
change some of its content as such the pictures used in it. In fact, the pictures used in
the flyers can also make people become aware of the event that we will be conducting.
This is because, though it is small, people can already realize that it is promoting an
event that involves nature due to the fact that pictures of flora and fauna are being
applied on it.

5.2 Public Relation (PR)

5.2.1 Event

Our event is basically about promoting and creating awareness on the importance of
appreciating our mother nature. The name of our event is “Green Camp” because
technically, the activities that will be conducted throughout the whole event have
connection with the nature. As for the headline, we are using a catchy phrase that can
easily be remembered by those who read it. The headline “Nurturing Nature Symbolizes
Us As One” can definitely give certain impact to the reader. This will somehow help us
to promote our event as people will start to have an idea of what we are going to do.

5.2.2 Logo

Basically the logo for our event is all about protecting our mother nature. The theme that
has been selected for our logo is the picture of leaves and the color green. This fits our
minor goal which is to make our earth greener. Moreover, the spikes that are
surrounding the leaves symbolize our effort to protect the mother nature. The water
drops symbolize our noble effort to promote awareness on the importance of protecting,
preserving and conserving our nature. Furthermore, the two leaves on the logo
represent collaboration between those who will be involved in the event, including the
sponsors.

5.2.3 Slogan

The slogan that will be used for our event is “Appreciating Our Mother Nature”. This
slogan has a very strong meaning and we are pretty certain that it will be able to give
impact and attract our target audience to join us during the event.

5.2.4 Sponsorship and Partnership

The sponsors that will be sponsoring throughout the whole event basically have
connection with the efforts of saving and making our earth greener. The sponsors are
MALAKOFF that is actually our main sponsor, Malaysian Agricultural Research and
Development Institute (MARDI), and World Wildlife Foundation (WWF). As a matter of
fact, we will also be partnering with some organizations in order to turn this event into a
success. The organizations include Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), Universiti
Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Multimedia University
(MMU), and Universiti Industri Selangor (UNISEL).

5.2.5 Invitation Card

The invitation card basically uses the picture of a dragonfly that combines the picture of
flora and fauna. Furthermore, there will also be some text that gives information
regarding our event.

5.3 Advertising and Promotion

For advertising and promotion, we have selected certain media to actually promote our
event so that people would be well exposed to it. We realize that a good advertising and
promotion is definitely necessary because it is also one of the factors that determine the
success of the event. Here are some of the advertising places and mediums that we
have selected.

5.3.1 Facebook

This new media is selected due to the fact that it is very well known and famous
especially among the teenagers. Nowadays, almost each and every single one of
teenagers nationwide have a Facebook account and so we are certain that by using this
medium, we would be able to reach as many people as possible and not to mention
conveying as much information as possible.

5.3.2 Newspaper

This medium of information is chosen because it is also considered as a popular

medium of conveying message among the teenagers. The newspaper that we will be
using to promote our event is Metro because of the fact that it has high public interest
and is in the top ranking of the most read newspapers in our country
(www.hmetro.com.my). This way, we would be able to widen and increase the number
of people that will be exposed to our ads.

6.0 Distribution Area

6.1 Shopping Malls

We have chosen mall as our area that will promoting our event because mall is very
popular in gaining a customer. Our target audiences, the student often chose mall as
their location in shopping and leisure activities. The selection of the mall is not randomly

because we see student often hang out in mall and maybe through this places we will
find our limited participants.

6.1.1        Selected Shopping Mall

customers among students around Kuala Lumpur and we seen this place have a
potential to spread information to student that interested to join.

This place is chosen to become our distribution place because it seems to be a high
potential participant from Malay people and we also want the Bumiputera to join this
event and feel themselves what we want to organize, it’s about nature and human
relationship with nature.

6.1.1.3  Dataran Pahlawan

This place is chosen to become our distribution place because it has its potential
participant from any background of people from all races in Malaysia and this place
seems to be as a centre of attraction in south.

participant from any background of people from all races in Malaysia and this place
seems to be as a centre of attraction in north.

6.2 Higher Education Institute

audiences, students from the high education institute in Malaysia. Our main
collaboration is from The Ministry of High Education of Malaysia. We have categorized
this high education institute into two, the public high education institute and private high
education institute. We want to give the opportunity from the both types of institute to
join the event that we want to organize and they can know each other better and with
more deep.

6.2.1 Selected High Education Institute

6.2.2.1 Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Bangi Campus   (UKM Bangi)

a tagline in nurturing a nature besides to have an activities surrounded by a nature
