a. Analyse the Basic Education Act 2013 (RA 10533) framework vis-à-vis the principles of learning – centeredness.
Answer:
In implementing Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013 of R.A. 10533, the
Department of Education was tasked to implement the K to 12 Program. It includes kindergarten, six years of elementary, and six years of secondary education. Secondary education includes four years of junior high school and adding two years of specialization within the Basic Educational System, the framework increased community involvement in the learner’s experience because through community involvement by work immersion program students are better prepared for the global community and job opportunity, it can also make young people better learners across the curriculum.
b. Identify provisions in RA 10533 that highlight learner-centeredness
and discuss their implications for teaching.
Answer:
In R.A. 10533 Section 8. Inclusiveness of Enhanced Basic Education. It
highlighted inclusive education a concept of studying in school where special children and students study together. It is not about education together but it is way where special needs children learn to grow with developing children. The developing children fail to understand special needs children and look upon them with a difference. Inclusive education tries to bridge this gap. In this section, the children become more understandable towards each other. In longer term this brings acceptance of special needs children in the society much simpler.
