D. Discussion
TEACHER STUDENTS
Ok class let start our discussion for today.
(Listening Attentively)
Our topic for today is Light, Heat, and Sound
Do you understand?
Yes Sir
Visible Lights
Yes ANNE
Visible Light the light is visible to the human eye is
called visible light or simply light. The visible light
is only part of the electromagnetic spectrum (EM).
Yes Dan
The Sun Sir
Ok Awesome
Yes Maria
Ok Nice Maria
Next is REFLECTION
Who can read what is Reflection
Yes Nikko
Reflection refers to the bouncing back of light
when it hits an object. Some objects with flat
surfaces, like mirrors, reflect light in a straight
predictable way. Some objects with uneven
surfaces, like rocks, reflect light in a scattered
way.
Ok thank you Nikko
Yes Dina
Absorption refers to a materials taking in of light
and not reflecting it back. For example when light
strikes a blacj surface, it is absorbed by surface and
nothing is reflected.
Ok awesome please take your sit
Yes Mica
Transmission refers to the passing of light through
some materials. For example, when light passes
through a glass window, it is transmitted to the
other side, allowing the light to pass through the
window.
Thanks Mica
Yes JOHN
Yes May
Translucent materials allow some lights pass
through them. Stained glasses and frosted
windows are examples of translucent objects.
Ok thanks May
Yes Bentong
Opaque materials do not allow light pass through
them. Concrete walls, wooden doors, and mirrors
are examples of opaque objects.
Nice Bentong
Yes robin
Heat is the form of energy that is transferred
between systems or objects with different
temperatures (flowing from the high-temperature
system to the low-temperature system). Also
referred to as heat energy or thermal energy.
Very good Robin
Yes Sam!
Conduction is the movement of something such as
heat or electricity through a medium or passage.
An example of conduction is using a metal rod to
roast marshmallows on an open fire and feeling
the heat rise through the rod from the fire to your
hand.
Yes Lance
Convection is the transfer of heat by the
movement of a fluid (liquid or gas) between areas
of different temperature.
Yes Tristan
Ok nice Tristan
