The Covid-19 pandemic has created an emergency status in Indonesia. Through
Presidential Decree No. 11 of 2020, Indonesia has declared a health emergency status. Various efforts have been made to overcome the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. One of them is vaccination efforts. The covid 19 vaccine was carried out on January 13, 2021. President Joko Widodo was the first person to receive the Sinovac type of covid 19 vaccine. Kimia Farma issues a mutual cooperation covid 19 vaccine program where the covid 19 vaccine is paid for. The government reasoned that this was to support the spread of the COVID-19 vaccine to support community immunity. This essay will discuss the paid covid 19 vaccine plan for the people of Indonesia and the impact of the paid covid 19 vaccine plan. This essay will cover 3 main topics, namely: 1) Definition and effectiveness of the Covid 19 vaccine for health, 2) Policies for the administration of the Covid 19 Vaccine in Indonesia, and 3) Impact of the paid Covid 19 vaccine policy in Indonesian society. Vaccines are substances or substances that are introduced into the body. The body that has been vaccinated will form antibodies against certain viruses. Efficacy is a decrease in the percentage of disease incidence in the group of people who are vaccinated. While the effectiveness of the vaccine is the ability of the vaccine to help reduce the incidence of disease in the world. The purpose of giving the covid 19 vaccine for all Indonesian people is to reduce the morbidity and mortality due to the covid 19 virus. Although the covid 19 vaccine is not 100% able to protect a person from infection with the covid 1 virus, this vaccine can reduce the possibility of severe symptoms and complications due to infection. covid 19. The covid 19 vaccine encourages the formation of herd immunity or group immunity. Vaccines must be given to all Indonesian people, this is in accordance with the policy issued by the government that the government has determined the 2019 coronavirus disease pandemic as a global pandemic as outlined in Presidential Decree No. 99 of 2020 concerning the procurement of vaccines and the implementation of vaccinations in the context of dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. The objectives of administering the COVID-19 vaccine include: reducing morbidity and mortality from the COVID-19 virus, protecting and strengthening the health system as a whole, and maintaining productivity and minimizing social and economic impacts. . With this, the government hopes that it can protect the community as a whole, increase productivity and income as well as community welfare. Paid vaccines are not in line with the initial spirit of the Indonesian government which stated that vaccines would be free. If you look at other countries that have successfully implemented mass vaccinations for free, then it is considered the government's obligation to ensure public safety from the COVID-19 pandemic. If the vaccine is paid for, there will be a public perception that paid vaccines are better than free vaccines facilitated by the government. In conclusion, the covid 19 vaccine is very beneficial for health and can help suppress the covid 19 virus because the covid 19 vaccine aims to reduce morbidity and mortality due to the covid 19 virus, protect and strengthen the health system as a whole, and maintain productivity and minimize social and economic impacts. With this, the government hopes that it can protect the community as a whole, increase productivity and income as well as community welfare.
